Interested in field archery?
The club regularly holds ‘pop-up’ field shoots on the ranges. These include 3d animals, 2d animal faces and novelty targets. The Christmas shoot is often organized using a combination of these targets.

Some members arrange ‘group’ road trips to other clubs hosting a field shoot. Speak to a member of the executive to be included.
The club is also in the fortunate position of being granted access to private land in South Makara to undertake 3D field shoots and training for standard field rounds. The 3D range area is complete having been assessed for safety and access.
- Field shoots are by arrangement and are usually planned for Sundays by members who shoot field.
- We normally shoot under NZFAA rules (3 arrow round) but will keep the distances relatively short (range 2m to 45m approx.)
- An introductory training course and shoots specifically targeted to introduce field archery without losing and destroying arrows is available by arrangement.
- Parking is limited
- There will be a small cost to shoot to cover replacement of club 3D targets and the use of private targets and resources.
